Maybe One day

( series 1 )

The Familiar Unveiling

This painting is the first piece in an upcoming series examining Western social norms, with this piece addressing forms of harm that are normalized, and  quietly hidden within private life.

This series draws from lived experience, moments of anxiety, trauma, playfulness, and emotional intensity. While the subject matter often leans toward the darker parts of the human experience, that pull feels instinctive, almost universal. I rarely use myself as a direct subject; doing so can make the act of creating feel too close, reopening experiences rather than observing them.

These moments no longer define me, but returning to them through my work allows me to acknowledge their presence and weight.
